On June 17, Megan was celebrating her birthday with her grandparents, parents, and cousins. She opened her last present, from her cousin Mya, and inside was a stuffed animal dog that she'd been wanting for months. She called it Mr. Fluff, because she thought Fluffy was too common of a name for a dog.
She and Mr. Fluff became best friends, and Megan couldn't be separated from him. She would spend hours in her bedroom playing with Mr. Fluff, and she abandoned all of her other toys. One night, she couldn't find Mr.Fluff, and nobody else could either. In the morning, she woke up and Mr. Fluff was sitting right next to her in her bed.
After Megan's dog had gotten hit by a car and killed, Mr. Fluff began acting more and more alive. It would always be in a different spot in the morning. One day, Megan was walking home from school and was abducted. The next morning, Mr. Fluff was missing, too.
On July 8, Megan's body was found in the forest, with Mr. Fluff by her side.
